Appraisers National Association was founded in 1982 to provide an association dedicated to the Principals and Ethics of Personal Property Appraising. In 1985 the association was formally established with a Board of Directors that was charged with the task of requiring its membership to maintain a program of Continuing Education and promote the improvement of Appraisal Standards. In 1996 ANA incorporated under the name of Research and Appraisal Associates, dba Appraisers National Association, and was granted non-profit status by both the State of California and the Federal Government.
The Association continues to foster its members to expand the Standards and Requirements in order to Promote Public Trust.
To be accepted as a designated
Certified Accredited Appraiser, our members must have a combination of Academic Study supported by Hands-on Product Knowledge. In addition to Full-Time Experience, they must prove competency by passing Qualifying Examinations in Valuation Theory.
The Mission of the Appraisers National Association is to assure the Public that its Members are among the most Highly Informed & Qualified Appraisers of Personal Property by Establishing Membership & Continuing Education requirements in order to Maintain and Enhance the Qualifications of the Personal Property Appraiser Members.
ANA Endeavors to Develop public awareness of the Profession of Personal Property Appraising and the service it provides to the public.
